It is a well known fact that arachnids have eight legs. That's four pair of shoes. Now if each shoe is laced and those laces are tipped with aglets (as any decent shoelace is) then that means each spider needs 16 aglets, presupposing of course that each spider leg has at the end of it a spider foot. So just think, with so many legs, feet, shoes, and laces, how many hands a spider would need to get dressed and start the day. This is widely believed to be one of the main reasons that spiders go barefoot.
